Before Christmas last year, I outlined my plan to collect all my old Transformers fan comics that were published on the Allspark.com forums, and print them in a book. The proceeds from this would go to The Samaritans. Unfortunately, the plan got severely delayed by bouts with pneumonia, job stuff and other real-world crapola. But I finally got it all sorted and the completed book was delivered back from the printers last week.
People who’d previously pre-ordered a copy have had theirs sent out as of today, and several others picked up copies at the just-gone Transformers con, Auto Assembly. There are about 40 books left, so get ’em while they’re hot!
The book is bigger than first expected – I originally planned a 72 page book, the final one is a 96 page full colour A5 book, so you’re getting value for money. For more info on the thinking behind the book, please look here: https://kriscarter.wordpress.com/2013/11/22/im-printing-a-book-for-charity/
The original plan to sell the book for £15 is still in place – (postage within the UK will be an additional £3 – postage abroad will be £6). Excepting postage costs and Paypal fees, every penny afterwards goes to charity. Currently, just over £300 has been raised, so please grab a copy from the Paypal links below and bump that total up!
If you don’t have Paypal, please contact me and we’ll sort out something else.
As before, I’d like to ask my fellow Transformers fans to please spread the word on this, link to this blog post, and get other people to take a punt on it. The initial plan was to do 50 – I ended up printing 100, so thanks are already due to you guys and gals!
And finally, it goes without saying that Transformers and all associated trademarks are the property of Hasbro, and the Allspark.com is the property and trademark of Greg Kuhn. This book is an unlicensed fan-produced publication which is strictly non-profit making, and no infringement of copyright or trademark is intended.
